Classical Chinese Herbs, Acupuncture, Fertility Acupuncture
Peter’s introduction to Chinese Medicine in the mid-1990s was quite personal: acupuncture miraculously healed his stubborn shoulder injury. The profound impact of this experience led him away from his initial path as a musician and teacher, guiding him towards mastering the art and science of Chinese Medicine.
Earning a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture, followed by a Master of Applied Science in Chinese Herbal Medicine—both with Honours, Peter’s journey was rigorous and deeply enlightening. Notably, he undertook clinical training in renowned institutions across Asia, such as the National Hospital of Traditional Medicine in Vietnam and the Jiangsu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Here, he garnered valuable experience in diverse medical departments, from gynaecology to cardiovascular. Peter went on to work at Fertile Ground in Melbourne for over a decade where he worked closely with fertility specialists to treat various gynaecological and obstetric complaints and help couples undergoing IVF procedures.
With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Peter also attained a Diploma in Canonical Chinese Medicine. He delved deep into pulse diagnosis and Kampo (traditional Japanese herbal medicine), uncovering the secrets of the body’s dynamic balance.
In his practice, Peter aspires to restore harmony within the body, catering to its innate systems. Particularly, he is drawn to cases where this equilibrium is disrupted, be it hormonal, neurological, or metabolic. Peter’s diagnostic prowess, rooted in traditional techniques, enables him to interpret the core cause of health challenges. This holistic approach complements modern biomedical treatments, weaving together the best of both worlds.
In Peter’s words: “Our peak health paves the way for achieving our aspirations, relishing our passions, and living our desired lives. I deeply believe in Classical Chinese Medicine’s power to detect disharmony and restore balance.”
